Regional Inspector General
for West Africa (RIG/Dakar)

Based in Dakar, Senegal, the Regional Inspector General for West Africa (RIG/Dakar) is one of six overseas offices of the USAID Office of Inspector General (OIG), headquartered in Washington, USA. RIG/Dakar covers 23 countries, including Senegal, in West, North and Central Africa.

The OIG's mission is to conduct and supervise audits and investigations, related to USAID, the African Development Foundation (ADF) and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) with the view of improving the management of USAID, ADF and MCC programs and operations and detecting and preventing fraud and abuse in these domains.
