The purpose of the U.S. Agency for International Development/Millennium Water and Sanitation Program (USAID/PEPAM) is to improve sustainable access to water supply and sanitation (WSS) and to promote better hygiene in targeted rural, small town, and peri-urban areas of Senegal by working in four components:

Planned Results :

1. 1. Strengthen participatory governance.
2. Increase demand for sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene services and products.
3. Strengthen the capacity of small-scale service providers, the private sector, and Water Users’ Associations (WUAs).
4. Install and rehabilitate improved drinking water and sanitation infrastructure using a service delivery framework.

Research Triangle Institute (RTI) leads the consortium implementing USAID/PEPAM, with Associates in Rural Development (ARD) and Relief International (RI/EWV).
